Disc Displays - What To Expect
Ultimate
- a fast, athletic team game with a max of seven players
on each side. Played outdoors on a football sized pitch.
Also played on smaller pitches in sports halls and on
sand beaches. Lots of action and high scoring.
Freestyle
- combinations of tricks and moves with a spinning disc.
Extreme body and disc control, dance and athleticism.
Freestyle can be performed almost anywhere. Freestylers
can work alone, but pairs or threes can be more spectacular.
Performances are often choreographed to music.
Distance Competitions -
the longest disc throwers in the UK can launch a disc
140-150 metres...this will make your jaw drop if you've
never seen this before. There are a handful of people
in the World who can throw over 200 metres. The World
record is 250 metres. That's BIG.
